My tech holdings were up a lot this year, if you mean from January. They took a big hit in October and have come back very nicely. Examples; Asnd, Axent, General Magic, LSI, Coms, HLIT, ANTC, GTE, USW, F, and even storage stocks with INVX and QNTM.
It may have fallen back some or even be topping now, but I have to agree that it was a good year. The stocks I didn't buy are the ones that piss me off the most. I had a buy in with a limit and missed getting LHSPF at 78, since up to 125. Also wanted CA, TXN and TER, but delayed and missed very good opps.
