thanks for the on getting recent compaq pricing. my point is that radio shack has the cpq computer on display at a OLD HIGH END PRICE of $1395. anyone who can read a newspaper can go down the street to best buy or office max and get the same thing for $300 less.

which brings up another point: my little visit to radio shack reconfirmed what i've felt for years: a good place to go for an odd electrical part, but for good electronics their prices are high and the things they sell are often slightly out of date.

why cpq is using radio shack i can't figure. maybe cpq is being run by people who look at spread sheets but don't understand what a frumpy store radio shack is.

i wish now that i had not bought compaq 8 months ago. so far it's a loser.
