Hmmm... Your numbers are interesting.

Last year AOL averaged 12,900 new subscribers per day. If they are able to maintain this rate and take over 2 million subscribers from Compuserve, then they will have:
Year Subscribers
Ended in millions
12/31/98 16.767
12/31/00 21.427
12/31/01 26.100
12/31/02 30.760

Of course, maintaining the same daily sign-up rate would represent a slowing of the growth rate.

I agree, I don't think that there is sufficient market available for AOL to make the analysts' numbers.
