Teac Says Drives For HiFD Will Hit $100

Chicago - Drive-maker Teac in August or September will ship HiFD drives priced about $100, with 200MB media priced at $10, according to booth attendants at Comdex/Spring here....

Troy Biancrosso, a tech-support staffer for Teac, said the drives "will be the same price as LS-120 and Zip," and the blank media "will be the same price as Zip, but have twice the capacity."
