Homosexuality and the Bible ~~
"If a man has intercourse with a man as with a woman, both commit an abomination. They must be put to death." -- Leviticus 20:33.
"No woman may wear an article of man's clothing, nor may a man put on a woman's dress, for those who do are abominable to the Lord your God." -- Deuteronomy 22:4.
These two scriptures represent laws from God handed down to Moses. So, according to the word of God, homosexuality is an abomination and all homosexuals should be killed. Well, I just don't see it like that. Sorry.
Let's take a look at some less popular laws that God has also handed down that are also supposed to be followed. I'm sure the Good Lord wouldn't want us to pick and choose among the laws that we were supposed to follow:
"When anyone has a discharge from his private parts, the discharge is ritually unclean. All bedding on which anyone with such a discharge lies will be ritually unclean, and everything on which he sits will be unclean. Every earthenware bowl touched by the person must be broken." -- Leviticus 15:12.
"You are not to cut off the hair from your temples." -- Leviticus 20:27.
"You must not ... tattoo yourselves. I am the Lord." -- Leviticus 20:28
"No man whose testicles have been crushed or whose organ has been cut off may become a member of the assembly of the Lord." -- Deuteronomy 23:1.
"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals, and three hundred sixty-two admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision."
