True enough, Walter, but being the low-cost supplier of a component means that you have to be low-cost. I don't know, but I assume Nichia has more pricing power than Cree at this time. On the other hand, many well managed companies thrive in an environment of 30% annual ASP deterioration, and I think Cree is making all of the right moves given their position.
My main concern continues to be the upcoming entry of other volume suppliers. I was considering Cree long in the low teens but it never hit my target price. In the 20's, I'd be more inclined to short. For now, consider me neutral, and skeptical (whether right or wrong, something this thread lacks). I do wish them well against the behemoths though.
