re: Does this mean that anytime DELL goes DOWN within the NEXT 100 YEARS, you will have been correct? YOU WIN - THE STOCK WILL DEFINITELY GO DOWN WITHIN THE NEXT 100 YEARS. ( It will also probably go UP!)

I will narrow my forcast by a factor of 10.
When the PC life cycle ends, weather today or in the next 10 years, DELL and many others will all end up in the same place, The source of funds list.

By the way, While I to thought a 386 would be the end, After a few months, I realised how I wanted more power, and Decided it had a little more life in it.
But now INTC can no longer grow revenues, despite their continual increase in preformance. Combined with what to me is an obvious over abundunce of power in todays $1500 machines, leads me to believe that we are very close to the end.
I still see PCs in a very simmilar position.
As for valuation premimums for market share gains, That is not much different than the Premimun CD had for their acquision growth stratagy.
