And the devil is in the detail.....:o)

OK....
Sounds good! 7 programs! Wow! But CEO's get paid extra because they know how to make it sound better than it is, among other things. You always have to keep the salt shaker close at hand during conference calls. Capacity, quals, and share holder value are all key terms that should lead you to pick it up and start shaking.

Yes, the 2.5 portable link is a good assumption and Toshiba portable link also. The rest I make no assumptions.

I focus on IBM for a couple of reasons.
1. Its their R&D that apparently had a role in enabling this
development.
2. They are a big reliable consumer. The open question is whether HTCH
will be supplying their needs or they do it internally. Everytime I
look at the HTCH capital commitment, I start looking for a BIG
customer commitment.
3. Its relatively more key now to portables (smaller is harder) but in
the long run 3.5 is the larger market. I would like to find out
that IBM is putting its integrated leads in 3.5 drives now. I would
be even happier to find out those were the ones HTCH made. In the
long run its best for me if HTCH makes better ones than IBM since
I'm holding relatively lots of HTCH stock and not much IBM stock.

I'm always more comfortable when I get a sense of how many units are actually going to whom. A marketing guy will call a 100 unit sample a "program", smiling and looking you straight in the eye the whole while :o)

Just my usual skeptical self Mark.

Best Regards.....Tom
