DLL,
<<To all others on this thread. If my use of Yeshua offends you please let me know. Do
you sense a cultic spirit in me? I seek your opinions and wish to let the truth be known in
the words of two or more witnesses.>>

I have a check about it that makes me believe I am being cautioned by the Holy Spirit about it. I trust the inner caution I have about it and consider the misuse of Jesus's name to be in error. I disagree with the assertion that your form of religion is the same as the first century church. For one there were no Rabbi's in the new church. Neither Paul nor any apostle ever mention one time any rabbi teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The rabbi's were associated with the old testament practice of the law and they taught the law. They have brought the law into the new covenant of grace. The two cannot mix, one is based on a law that cannot redeem anyone; the other, Jesus Christ, is based on grace that cannot be earned by keeping any law. Your religion seems to try to meld the two together and that cannot be done. Jesus said many will not like the "new wine" saying the old is good enough. This is what he meant. This some of the old and some of the new cannot work. The new wine of the gospel of Jesus Christ is a complete departure from the old. Don't be beguiled by the trappings of the old law and try to incorporate them into a "different gospel" than the one Paul preached. Jesus said whoever puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God.
