ROPER RESOURCES ATTEND SAFE ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERING PRESENTATION
VANCOUVER, April 30 /CNW/ - Roper Resources Inc. Trading Symbol: RRN (ASE)
Richard Watson, President of Roper Resources Inc., (ASE:RRN) announced that representatives of Roper involved in the previously announced negotiations with Safe Environment Engineering, have returned from extensive meetings in Valencia, California. The meetings included a facility tour led by David Lamensdorf, President of Safe Environment Engineering, during which a demonstration was conducted of the Life - line(TM) system Confined Space and Security Monitoring System. The demonstration was for the benefit of the Roper directors and consultants, many of whom were seeing the product line for the first time. All agreed that the Life - line(TM) system has revolutionized the monitoring of workers in life threatening environments. Don White, an internationally known construction industry management consultant to Roper, summarized his observations by stating: ''Every company and government agency that deals with confined spaces, security, staff activity monitoring, or patients in care facilities will benefit. The benefits are reduced manpower, man hours, and administration costs.'' Mr. White also stated ''Most importantly, the Life - line(TM) system will save lives! This benefit alone is foremost.'' A review of Safe Environment's business plan, financial statements and projections were provided to the directors of Roper. Roper's financial advisers will review these, and a subsequent report will be produced in May. Roper has invited George Sharp of Sharp Associates, Los Angeles, an independent consultant to both Safe Environment and Roper, to write a brief review and analysis of Safe Environment, for the benefit of the shareholders of Roper. Mr. Sharp has indicated his report will be provided during the week of May 14, 1998. Roper Resources Inc. is currently in exclusive negotiations to form a relationship with Safe Environment Engineering. Safe Environment Engineering, a California Limited Partnership, is headquartered in Valencia, California. The Company develops and supplies communications systems, which integrate wireless telemetry and voice communication to transmit information. The Company uses this technology in its patented Life - line(TM) systems, which in one version, enables monitoring of entrants into confined spaces or hazardous locations; and, in another configuration, monitors security personnel on patrol rounds.
