You can thank MAYER&SCHWEITZER,INC.(MASH) for shorting the hell out of Vivus today-He was sitting at the ASK throughout most of the day and I know he wasn't selling cause the only time I see him buying is durring rallies (last week) where he was covering like mad. I did manage to buy 2,000 shares from MASH this morning at 12 5/16 and sold at 11 3/8.
I bought in again at 11 3/16 but MASH just wouldn't move his ass off the ASK-kept feeding shares at 11 1/8 to 11 3/16, I ended up bailing at 11 when it looked like MASH wasn't giving up. He would put out 3,000 shares, someone would hit him and then he would just feed in another 3,000. I sure would like to know who he represents if anyone in his trades. The problem with Vivus is that whenever it gains some significant strength, our friendly shorts start shorting the hell out of it. We need to move up and close above 13 before we can see any significant advance. Until further news comes out, Vivus stock price will reflect the trading games amongst the shorts and longs. IMO, until the script data on Vivus stops declining and starts to increase, the shorts will continue their defiant behavior but once Vivus begins to roll, the shorts will think twice before shorting Vivus again. FWIW I am sick and tired of the way this stock is constantly attacked by the shorts and never given any positive media attention.
I'm still not hearing anything concrete on Viagra in terms of actual success rate in the moderate to severe cases. Has anyone had any recent contact with Nina or anyone at Vivus?
