Checked my notes. All that was said was concerning UB was that the product fit nicely in with their product offerings. No more mention of it after that. They were kind of hush hush about the whole things.

As for the 79k of income, I pray that MRV is better at managing a company than they are! What happened, IMHO, is that FDDI margins are quite small since the technology is old and numerous amounts of competition is there. However, revenues of 35 million were decent.

I believe that they will incorporate the FDDI backbone into the GIG-hub offerings in some way. I think they're going for more corporate wide customers now which generate more in terms of revenues. Rather than 1 workgroup, you can target a company at 1 location. I don't really know about the possibilities of corporate campuses where companies have multiple buildings located on numerous campuses though.

I love the customers that they bring to the table. Some big name companies obviously felt that their products were worth something.

All and all, I believe that they are using Fibronics as a tool to sell to a broader audience and generate more revenues. Assuming that they don't slash their margins on the other products, where they are large, profits should soar!

Feedback appreciated
