The new economy and labor usage; high standard of living creates jobs ?

All the news of layoffs are usually effecting the middle management. Highly paid executives are middlemen who are obsolete because of the communication ease using computers. After we striped off those layers, the labor demand forces them to retire or set up their own small service business.

Most of the job creation today are in the distribution business. But with the direction of goods and services towards higher standard of living; it means that more jobs are created to have products which reduces labor for home cooking, for instance. Cut vegetables peeled and cleaned, frozen dinners, recipe soup in cans or bottles are all new products on the shelves today. Initial manual labor soon turn to fully automatic production, and labor is released for the next innovative product or services for higher standard of living.

If we do everything ourselves then we become the cheap labor for nothing. When we can earn high wages, then we have to use our time for maximum gains. Let others get paid for the products and services we can pay cheaply and use them conveniently.

Earn more and enjoy more high standard of living. It creates jobs.
