Colin, as a learned CPA, you know the benefit of reading things in advance. And I can tell you from experience with DBC, that if you don't peruse the manual that is online, you will be posting questions here til kingdom come. So get with it, CC. <g>

In response to your question, that's one of the most annoying things about SEOL. You need to quit the program, then quit the DM. And yes , it takes a moment for the DM to quit. It was my understanding that they were working on changing that, but it appears that it hasn't been done yet.

And don't forget to delete the symbols you no longer are interested in following from any quote, chart, level2, or other type of screen where they may appear, or they won't be deleted. Otherwise you will come up on your upper limit very quickly. They also have to be deleted from the DM when you are shutting down, or they will reappear.

There are a couple of ways to do that, but probably the easiest is to save in the program any symbols you want to keep, then, when you are shutting down the DM, use the "reset" command to totally erase all symbols. When you startup in the morning, what symbols are in the program will repopulate the DM.

I don't use the program anymore, so don't count on any more help from me.<VBG>
