Yes it did. Mainframes are back to air cooling with CMOS (no more liquid, no more coolant distribution unit). So, the new machines use just fans for cooling, take about 1/7th the power input, take about 1/7th the floor space, and are a lot cheaper and yet more powerful than the old ECL machines.

I can't wait to collect on my bet with Mary. 2001, here we come!
