Over the past few days, several people have outlined various ways to categorize the SI populace. Perhaps it would be useful to the thread if someone could also identify which groups get which bennies. It certainly would be useful to me.

I believe there are only two categories, members and non members. The benefits are pretty much as you describe them.

It is hard to imagine SI without the benefits. I think the membership drive was overall a positive. It is hard to get a handle on what bookmarks and personal messaging etc. can do for you without experiencing the site sans restrictions.

Is there a go2net corporate chill in SI? We should be looking forward to growing SI site not rehashing what seems to me a very successful development stage. The bucks are with the future members, not trying to diminish our existing membership.

I am all for a profitable SI. New fee structures for new members, sure why not. The lifetime membership has proven its worth (33 mil).
Why not maintain opportunities for new lifetime memberships as well as offering opportunities for monthly fees to new members? Fees for significant value added services, I am for it.

Adds in the threads? I'll start looking around to see what else is available.

Regards

Zeuspaul

ps
