They may very well be, but what difference does it make. It is very reasonable to assume that Jesus was the color of skin of whatever the natural color was (and probably still is of the peoples of the region for the most part) of the peoples of that time period.
As I understand it, there is no heirarchy of sin sort of speak, meaning one being less or worse than another. So therefore, racism wouldn't be any worse than whore mongering, murder, idolotry, abortion, or that other thing that I now regret ever putting forth for a topic of what never amounted to an actual discussion minus emotional head butting.
