ALSO WAY OFF TOPIC, NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE TO SAY, ANYWAY>>
Shaquapa, A double neck Gibson?? Man, you really ARE into this music thang. There was at least one other manufacturer of double necks...Kramer or Hamer or something like that?
The last time I studio recorded, years after the band split up, was in the early '80's. Long story there that you absolutely wouldn't believe, so I won't tell it. But for this particular session, I had stumbled across a journeyman musician who was a true magician on the guitar. He didn't really have two dimes to rub together (not unusual for musicians), but told me that he owned 27 guitars! I was guessing that about 23 of them must be Silvertones, but I was dead wrong. He owned five Les Paul's, several Tele's, several Strat's, a Flying V, a Rickenbacker Paul McCartney bass, etc. Yet of all these, his favorite was a modified Ibanez. He could make that thing sing, or laugh, or cry, and he could play hot licks with more speed than anyone I've ever met. BTW, although Gary Puckett's claim to fame was his mellow voice, he was also a superb guitarist. A lot of his better tunes never made the top 40.
