El: I just upgraded my home modem from a USRX 33.6 to a 3COM/USRX 56K V.90 (got the $60 upgrade deal). At least on Prodigy Internet, the speed difference is like night and day...pretty amazing. I used to always connect at 28.8 on Prodigy and now am at 52.2. I also tried AOL, but didn't notice much difference...AOL used to be faster than Prodigy Internet with old modem, but now Prodigy Internet seems to have AOL toasted with this modem....sure there are other variables as well, but I am quite happy with the new modem so far. You should get one !! 3.
