Yes, I've learned that the first question to ask is how much do they have in the bank. Doesn't matter if they've got a good property, no bucks,no bang. They run out of money and you're looking at a dilution for more shares or a consolidation and then a dilution. Interesting comment you made about investing in Canada, or the USA. I was going to post a notice about a murder of a major financial figure in Ukraine. Most of us have read about what has been going on in Russia proper but things are pretty crazy in the other former states of the USSR. And it's not just those countries. Look what happened with BreX. If the gold had been there, all the sharks were already tearing off chunks. SUF in SA and PDG and KRY in Venezuala. Canadians seem singularly naive about doing business abroad.
I'm glad to hear your enthusiasm regarding the coming results for MPV. I had thought to pick up some stock but someone I know who has been close to the action since the beginning sold out at just over five dollars. He felt the stock was unlikely to go over six dollars no matter what the results. Didn't give any specific reason. He got in at the early bottom so he did really well but his selling gave me pause. He could, of course, be completely wrong. That's what makes a market.
Right now, the diamond play needs someone, anyone in the NWT, ADP, Ontario to find something exciting. If MPV strikes it big and joins ABZ and DMM it'll give all the companies a boost. |
