Gil,
I'm pretty new to following the stock market (coming up on one year)but it seems to me, too many people make the mistake of not buying into strength. Just because the market is making new highs does not mean that it is overpriced etc. But even so, as you said, if the market overextends there is a slight correction. Generally speaking, you will not "lose" by holding through a correction. I think it is safe to laugh at Elaines predictions. Even if this market falls 10%, it will be at about the same level as she started saying sell. That is not a good thing for her. I did read in today's IBD that economists are expecting a slowdown in profits, but will it really be enough to stop this market? I don't know. But as anyone on the sidelines knows, they are missing out on some serious profits.
