Just for the record, Andreesen was one of the lead developers of that
'public domain browser' that he later commercialized. Don't
underestimate the contribution of that team. We wouldn't be
communicating on this board right now if it wasn't for them. The
Web would still be a plaything for scientists to pass their research
papers around on. You really don't think Bill Gates would have
invented browsers, do you??
