I always get bid/ask and sometimes ealy volume on my screen for NASDAQ from about 8am forward.

I believe some, most are very accurate, don't know about BB stocks.

It would be great if someone out there could define for us just "who" the MM firms are.

These coud be signals to each other for the days limits, or other info re the days action, or just the random changes within the group of MM's at pre market time.

Hard to say, except the volume could very well be an indication of institutional, instinet buying, or God forbid selling. In the case of PNLK, if we had pre market volume that was growing rapidly PRIOR to the bell, hold on to your hats.

Hope some of this is helpful, and hope someone out there can add to it. Especiially who the MM firms might be.
