Kostech Research Bulletin for 11-06-96
Pioneer Services Inc. (OTC:BB:PSVC) is an early stage biotechnology company which acquired Jacobson Resonance Machines Inc. (JRM) in the early part of July this year. JRM is a Biotech company that has done extensive studies in the treatment of pain, neurological disorders (i.e. Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Epileptic Seizures) Systemic Diseases, Genetic Diseases, Neoplastic Diseases, Viral Diseases and Degenerative Diseases. During the past 15 years, the company has developed and patented an electromagnetic machine that centers around an equation (mc2 = Bvlq) known as Jacobson Resonance. This equation is the key variable in treating the previously mentioned diseases with electromagnetic fields. A number of successful studies have already been done in treating these diseases along with advancements in the areas of Cancer and AIDS.
The Company has a number of attractive factors, but the one that deserves the most merit is that of credibility. Some of this credibility was achieved through the efforts of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott. It was his doing that opened the doors for PSVC to enter in, and establish itself, with the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology at Stennis Space Center ( a division of NASA ). This is a very significant alliance in that it enables the two to collaborate expertise in the development and manufacturing of electro-magnetic therapy devices that will be based around the Jacobson Resonance theory. Stennis has agreed to manufacture the machine, which should start taking place by the end of the week..
The Company is also currently establishing collaborations with a number of different major Universities across the United States. One of the most recent was with Dr. Brij Saxena at Cornell Medical Center, a professor of Endocrinology. With Dr. Jacobson's expertise in Electro Magnetic Resonance Therapy (EMRT) and Dr. Saxena, a world renowned scientist, they will be able to combine their fields of expertise and focus on research to determine the effects that Jacobson Resonance has on the regeneration of nerve cells involved in neuro-endocrine regulation. It is the management's intent that the research at Cornell will lead to double blind studies in the United States for treating Central-Nervous System Disorders using machines currently being developed by Pioneer. Other such collaborations with other, well acclaimed, universities are currently being taken into consideration.
By bringing Stennis and Dr. Sexena to the PSVC team, the Company has achieved two significant goals. First, it has proven the credibility of their research and products. Secondly, they are able to utilize existing laboratories and equipment that will cut down the costs of developing and manufacturing. In addition, any costs that are incurred in the future will in large part be absorbed by the other research teams and companies. This will have a very positive effect on PSVC's bottom line. This type of synergy is expected to continue as other partners join in.
The machine itself comes in a number of different forms, which cover a wide array of applications. The smaller version is about the size of a laptop with a cost of around $1600.00. The larger version which works like a spa has a cost of around $10,000.00. With this kind of range, a large market is covered from chiropractors and independent physicians, to major hospitals. This type of treatment is also covered under most insurance policies.
The machine is currently being prepared for the FDA review process in order to be approved for sale in the U.S., the first up-graded prototype was completed last weekend. Historically, non-intrusive devices make it through the process much quicker than other types of devices. In the interim, the Company will be able to generate revenues through the opening of treatment facilities abroad. One such country that is actively being sought after is Mexico. This could be an extremely valuable step in the process of creating a revenue stream. Talks to this effect are expected to begin in the next couple of weeks. Other contracts in different foreign markets are expected to be pursued followed by the U.S. once FDA approval has been granted.
This company has several things in the works which will be unfolding shortly. One of the things that is expected to take place is the addition of several key members to their board. One such member that desires to come aboard is Dr. Bjorn E. W. Nordenstrom, a world renowned scientist whose credentials include being a member of the Noble Assembly of Medicine for 19 years, one of which he served as president.
