<< I think that this 50,000 number only comes from the 12 design wins. If you include the number sold from the printer OEMs, I think that we have a much higher number. >>

Yes, but the new chips are being incorporated into existing products that Osicom already sells. I don't think Osicom is going to charge an additional $32 for each unit sold, and I don't think it will significantly impact revenues. I think old chips will be replaced by the new ones. Believe me, if incorporating the Net+Arm into existing print servers would seriously inmpact revenues, Osicom would have made that clear in their CC's.

<< You may have me on the Gigamux's. Didn't Par say that they were being DEPLOYED in the european bank consortium? >>

I know that Par said NO INSTALLATION at Brooks Fiber, contrary to what some on this thread wanted to lead people to believe after the quarterly CC. Do you remember the confusion? Even you weren't sure how to interpret what managementy said. WHY would you want to invest in a company that chooses to not speak clearly in plain language to inform you of business developments? WHY do you choose to invest in a company that won't give you a straight answer? WHY is it so hard for Osicom to say whether or not Gigamux's are installed in a network carrying live traffic? These are really simple questions, WHY do you think management is never clear and shreholders are left to speculate? When someone asked how many Gigamux's were sold or being deployed by RTC WHY didn't Osicom managemnt just answer the question? 1 Gigamux? 2 Gigamux's? 10? We never did get a straight answer and it appeared that there was only one purchased. So if you can get excited by the sale of 1 Gigamux with a few $70,000-100,000 links added to it, then I guess you have your deployment.

If you ask me your just grasping for something to hold onto. It's obvious that there have been no significant sales of Gigamux's to date. If there were multi-million dollar orders for the Gigamux you can bet that Osicom would fire off a press release. I don't know why some investors blindly place their faith in a company and assume that they are giving them the complete story. Companies like Cisco who have delivered value for shareholders for many years deserve some faith. Osicom has made so many promises in the past and failed to deliver on them that I would DEMAND clear concise straight forward answers so there would be no confusion. With this company I have to assume the worst if they don't answer a direct question. I can just tell from listening to them that if they achieve anything significant that they will definitely bring it up.

Think about it. Do you really think that Osicom would be selling 5 or 10 million dollars worth of Gigamux's and IQX's and say nothing about it? No, they would be issuing press releases and speaking about it prominently in their conference calls. You would hear something like, "We just shipped our 10th Gigamux to RTC for installation in a network for Swiss banks to be completed at the end of the month. Sales of our 16 channel Gigamux are ramping up quite nicely and we have several satisfied customers where Gigamux's are deployed in a network carrying live traffic."

You would see something like that. But you don't. Mum is the word on the Gigamux for now. In the conference call a couple of days ago Osicom said that there is a phase III process and all three phases take up to 18 months. Considering how the Gigamux wasn't formally introduced until November '97 it sounds like you won't be seeing any significant sales until calendar 1999. That is what Osicom management led people to believe.
