I have read over 2500 reports and must say that the "Doom and Gloom" reported in the Triaxsys report which you reference is missing from the reports I have read. Over 85% stated that the date change will not have a material affect on their operations at least as far their internal systems go. Admittedly, there are some "horror' stories and everyone is worried about third party issues, but many companies have surveyed important vendors and customers and the early reports are encouraging.

Now, either I have uncovered the biggest communications gap in the history of business (between management and programmers!) or the trade and financial press are using scare tactics to increase readership.

Take a look at a Yardeni's web site and find out for yourself. We have the latest EDGAR filings from the S&P 500...you can form your own opinions concerning the overall level of preparedness of these companies as stated by senior management. It is a searchable database. You will see that Triaxsys must have carefully selected their sample companies for maximum affect.
