The analyst spoke with physicians: How would physicians know if they are going to prescribe Evista if they do not know the test results as yet? Granted some physicians were involved in the study, but exactly which physicians were involved is highly guarded information. I can imagine that a physician might say "I'll prescribe if the test results are good, but if the results are equal to tamoxifin treatment, well..." Lilly has stated that initial test results from Evista show that it does not carry the side affects of tamoxifin and is equally effective.
