Meathead, pardon the intrusion from a compac stock guy who just reads this thread to see what the "enemy" is doing. Your discussion of TCO and joking about nobody just looking at purchase price: that is exactly what I did. I work for a small co that has no in-house computer guy so I set up their network/nternet and do computer purchasing. I don't have time or experience for elaborate TCO. I look for reliable low cost systems. I've tried the no name generics and been very disappointed but guess what-Compacs are great! Sure they occasionally break just like any machine but compac has great customer service and is cheaper than dell. Before you throw stones, remember you guys have made a killing while us compac holders get nothing but crumbs.
