Ok guys- sorry about that I was at my dad's house setting up his email etc. The problem I had w ascii conversion to WOW is that the names are lost on stocks - the names show up as symbols. SO I have reverted to Derek's system. Auto Output to MS format- then merge data in WOW. I need to call QP up because they still have that 255 per directory limitation which is a PITA(pain in the ....) The merege data method Securities- setup- merge is very fast. The output to MS seems slow but I haven't timed it. I will probably skip ascii until one of you figures out a way to solve it- but I am not sure acsii output is much different from ms output. anyway I am transferringabout 1500 items and still trying o perfect. May get w/derek on winbat this wkend. yt andy
