May 1, 1998 Symbol: MAD.V Form 20F: 0-27760 The Company wishes to announce that it has terminated its option on the Leticia concession in Guerrero State, Mexico. During 1997 the Leticia project was joint ventured to Pacific Rim Mining Corp. Pacific Rim drilled twenty-three reverse circulation holes. Although some of the holes produced high grade gold intercepts, the bulk-tonnage target was not encountered.
