Barnesandnoble.com vs. AMZN.com

Judging from last week radio blitz, BKS is clearly pushing internet sales more than amzn. This is at least rue on East Coast. Barnesand Noble.com commercials are now impossible to avoid on the am dial. Have not heard a single Amzn add this week but expect them to hit the airwaves soon in response.

Looks to me like a good ol fashion price war is underway. Will be very interested in Barnesandnoble.com's earning to be released soon. I expect them to be growing at a faster rate 50% increase in last quarter but still well below amzn on a qtrly basis.

What is clear is that there is a now genuine war for online market share between these two competitors. More are likely to follow but both amzn and barnesandnoble.com are putting serious effort and money into media campaigns to gain revenue dollars.

How will Amzn do in a price war? Not very well, IMHO.
