The trucks picking up the goods is only the beginning of a whole logistics and transportation supply chain that involves suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, warehouses, intermodal transport on barges, ocean going ships, railroads, airplanes, freight forwarders, brokers, international customs, port authorities, banks for letters of credit, funds transfer, gps for tracking and tracing and several other armies of networked computers and servers just to maintain trade, trasnportation and other economic data for Alan Greenspan and other central bankers to Analyze so they can manage the supply of money to ...and don't even go into all the federal, state, local and foreign governments and their requirements to......
You are right Paul, some of these people don't really have clue. Gee, I got my sub 1k computer and it surfs the net beautifully - who needs anything more.
