I fully appreciate your IDTI investment philosophy and think you've got it down right. However, I am a short term investor. I don't want to stay in IDTI for planting and harvesting. I would like to stay in for a year then sell and I fully expect to be rewarded 50% to 100% in this stock simply based on insider activity. Now we did have a major market correction so I'm willing to hold a little longer and it looks like the semis are poised for more appreciation.

As for the creation of value in the shareholder equity account, my 101 accounting teacher always emphasized that "THERE"S NO CASH THERE!" The only account I look to is the cash account and try to get a feel for future cash flows. This thread doesn't talk much about cash flow which is surprising since everyone knows that the Salinas and Hillsboro plants require massive depreciation along with the equipment. On the other hand, the semi cycles seem so short lived and product cycles so short that I have to wonder if investment in any plant makes sense. I guess that's why fabless companies are the rage. I wonder where IDTI stock would be if they hadn't bought Salinas or built Hillsboro.

Time to end this rambling nonsense,
Jackson
