the nature of developing companies....

Peter, Martek is like any other company which hasn't reached a
profit yet but is deemed by the investment community to have
"potential for profit explosion". Most biotechs and many others
including many high techs are in this category. This is the area
of investing whih represents, to my thinking, the greatest leverage
for upside. Of course the risk is there, but the challenge is to
pick those companies with best prospects. Personally I reserve
about 20 to 30% of my portfolio to this type investment since I
have a long time frame. Your'e right there doesn't seem to be many
interested in Martek juding from the posts here, and I won't bother
with more info if you aren't interested, but you asked for updates
I thought. I'm not trying to hype this stock or any other but only to
communicate with others so we may all learn in the process. I would
like to hear from others whatever their opinion on this or any stock
I discuss on SI.

Regarding your "getting to $300M revenue" comment, sure it will take
some time and the companies lead product DHA will have to be used
in formula as planned. But from all evidence this will occur and
soon in ivestment time. Soooooooooooo, the revenue must follow.
There may be a calamity out there to block this scenario, but I can't
see it. Maybe someone else sees a problem ahead and can point it out.

I just dicovered the Hambrick and Quist web site, which incidently
mentions Matek, and it has references to many developing companies.

best of luck; stay in touch............Bill.
