Will you hedge or protect your MSFT long-term core holding?

chris, some days ago I posted

TA: MSFT's positive momentum was impaired based on violation of 13-ema on nonneglible volume.

FA: Article talking about the states forming a legal consortium to block MSFT's sale of WIN 98. MSFT's revenue depends on the timely rolling out of WIN 98, the Street does not cope with uncertainty well.

Market dynamics: Market is extended, the good news is almost all out, FOMC should be a nonevent and market is already discounting that

Traders and investors will react differently to this information. Traders are nimble, will observe the loss in momentum and take their profits and run when trading the flux. Investors who took their position in MSFT a year or more ago will yawn and not bother hedging ... timing the market is not worth the tax consequences of capital gains. Investors who took their position in MSFT recently ... should have a contingency plan in place.

For each trade or investment, one should have an expectation of how the stock should behave.
