Phillips - Managing Director, Enterprise Software Charles Phillips (Managing Director) joined Morgan Stanley in December 1994 as an equity research analyst covering enterprise software companies. Previously, he covered these stocks for Kidder Peabody. Chuck has been following the software industry since 1986. He is ranked the #1 industry analyst in enterprise/server software by Institutional Investor magazine, and he has been a member of the All-America research team in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997. Prior to Kidder, he was an analyst with Soundview Financial Group and the Bank of New York. Mr. Phillips received a B.S. in computer science from the United States Air Force Academy and served as a captain in the Marine Corps, working in the data procesing field. He earned an M.B.A. in finance from Hampton University and a J.D. from New York Law School. chuck is a member of the Georgia State Bar, and is also a chartered financial analyst. He was tall, trim, attractive ... wore a GREAT suit and nice glasses. LOL I think part of the problem is that this "non-IT Y2K", "embedded systems" problem is an electrical engineering problem ... IS guys just don't get it. And, they don't want to admit that they don't understand. I agree with Karl - no critical thinking. The guy's bright - but he's in over his head on this issue. Cheryl
