Chloe R has traced the first 6 heads of Revelation 17 with accuracy. I find it hard to believe that the seventh world power would only last for 12-15 years. These are all WORLD POWERS. Daniel 2:41-44 speaks of this seventh world power as being fragile, Iron mixed with miry clay. Yet as verse 44 states, it would be "in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed:". Since Daniel does not speak of an 8th king, that last, seventh king would still have to be in existence when God destroys it and establishes his kingdom. At this time the United States of America seems to be a world power. The clay could point to a weakening and a lack of cohesion in the ironlike strength of the final form of world domination by earthly kingdoms. I see that in its inability to strike at its enemies. Look at how long Saddam Hussein has been taunting them from Iraq. In the past they needed to get the UN's ok to attack but were not allowed to finish the job.
Whoever the 7th king is, it is interesting to note that although Daniel has God's kingdom being established during the rule of that final 7th king, The book of Revelation adds an 8th king. Revelation 17:10 "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come: and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition."
This eighth king is of the seven but appears to rule at the same time as the final 7th king from the book of Daniel.
Interesting puzzle?
