" I just returned from the shareholder meeting which was held this afternoon from 3:30-4:30 in Santa Clara, CA. I suddenly have complete confidence in both the company and the stock as a result of this meeting!

Many things were said during the question and answer session that reaffirmed my LONG position in TDFX (my averaged-up position is now $21). The number one issue that struck me were some of the comments made about Banshee. Of course, they were very careful on what they said regarding Banshee, but I quote "It will be the best 2D, and the best 3D in the market when it is released, BAR NONE!" A price of $149 was quoted for Banshee, but it was said that this is not yet definite.

Regarding advertising, it was said that the scope of advertising will shift from the "hard-core gamer" to the "gaming enthusiast" during the next 6 months.

Also, my confidence sky-rocketed when they said that as a result of upcoming product release announcements, analysts/shareholders will begin to see 1999 as THE most profitable year for 3Dfx, not 1998. This really shocked me! The confidence that the CEO and directors have in their up-and-coming products is amazing, and it showed!

Regarding the sudden downward slide in the stock price over the last couple weeks, the CEO stated that he was equally conserned due to his (obviously) large holding in the company. But, he said they are going to manage with a "heads down" approach...not worrying about the stock price to much. By executing with current and future products, the stock price will take care of itself.

So, to sum it all up to you shareholders and soon-to-be shareholders of 3Dfx, buy as much stock in 3Dfx now as you can afford, because you will be sitting in great shape in the future if you do!
