Can I assume then, that if an option isn't listed on the current list of CBOE options, that if it's a reasonable one to have, I can place an order and the specialist will create it for me? That makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I know that isn't always the case. Some stocks don't have leaps, for example, like Pixar. I am sure I cannot ask to buy leaps and have them create them for me, but I'm rather vague about why that is.
