RE: Informix I follow Informix because my company has a significant investment in its use. If you look at the earnings, you'll see that cost cutting is the biggest change contributor. Sales are up only slightly ... this is better than I expected. Long term I think the greatest threat to Informix is from Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle who have both formed significant value chains with application providers and hardware companies. They have a lot of peer competition too from IBM, Sybase, NCR/Teredata. I wish the best for Informix .... but I don't think I'd bet my money! Larry
