Hi Craig! You put a lot of work into this and I'm really grateful. Printed your post out and will study the barsince function which i haven't used at all in the time i have MSWIN(~8 month now ).My idea is to use a failure to reach the second high again as a starting point for shorting in which i also have absolutely no experience. So I'm into a lot of unknown waters here. But i feel that if i'm able to code something like this it should be possible and reverse it and scan for double bottoms as well. I'll go on a small vacation on Sunday so it might take a while until i come back to you...Thanks again for the effort!! Stefan
