This is not just a 3 day stock of momentum and then it falls off, never to be seen from again. They make a real product that will be very useful to most utilities, especially in this new world of deregulation. I am an electric utility engineer and have had many discussions in my utility and others about the metering of customers, who will do it, will they get paid for doing it, who sends and recieves the bills. Also we spend a lot of money on sending people out to houses and buildings to read the meters, and in some areas it is unsafe and even hard to do when you can't get inside some buildings. Well GLCP has the solution and will be capitalizing on it nicely. FCC approval and announcements of some major contracts will send this firmly into the few dollar range. This is not a company banking on one big deal or hoping for a long shot to come in. The $300 million in contracts evryone talks about is many many separate contracts,not just one hopeful deal.
If you are wondering why a company with such promise is selling so low, it's because for the last few years they were developing this technology and had very little income. Plus this is not a glamorous field like computers, or the internet. But meter reading is a real concern for utilities and will be a real money maker for GLCP.
I love small companies that are just starting to sell their product and has yet to be discovered by most investors. In a few years when earnings are in the millions every quarter and revenues are in the hundreds of millions people will wonder how they missed this stock. it was so simple and plain to see.
