George, New IBM mainframe line, R6, features FC drops Esocn. techweb.com <<The R6 system uses Fibre Channel connectivity to enhance the availability of IBM's Parallel Sysplex cluster. A Fibre Channel interconnect called Ficon will replace IBM's long-time mainframe interconnect, Escon.
