NSCP only sure bet in ISE deal. LCOS IMHO my bet over SEEK. What's your take on this!!

1. NSCP says will get best SE for its portal.
2. HotBot from Wired is top SE according to smartmoney and alleged majority of other evaluators
3. leak of unconfirmed rumors of NSCP/SEEK/T triad deal
4. LCOS poker hand: we are out of SE negotiations with NSCP
5. NSCP is building (as i understand it) a push/pull technology dependent supply chain management functionality for corporate netcenter traffickers;
6. LCOS buys Wisewire & its push/pull technology and plays the litigation card on web search technology (clouds future of other SE) and then there is the alleged growth of tripod and ?? as to what its on-line service brings to the table (vs what SEEK can offer).
7. LCOS says still potential for deal with NSCP if terms can be reached;
8. LCOS & T get in bed together - whither SEEK?

I simply ask what SE deal would jumpstart NSCP to YHOO/MSFT level of competition & revenue growth potential? What you get is what you pay for and NSCP, IMHO, needs what LCOS already has and SEEK only dreams of having. The win-win in the larger MSFT/YHOO dominated arena is a NSCP/LCOS pairing; the Bargain basement deal is NSCP/SEEK (better but not best). For NSCP, the deal comes down to power/control/propinquity(nearness in time&place) and affordability; for LCOS,it is power too, but more an issue of whether in the long term it can draw world-wide market share from YHOO/MSFT without the NSCP "Viagra" boost.

A NSCP/LCOS deal would increase XCIT and SEEKs motivation to merger/acquisition of one of the other players. a NSCP/SEEK deal would only intensify lower tier competition with LCOS & XCIT. all three lose to YHOO and MSFT.

big questions: conflict of interest LCOS/MSFT/NSCP & other cross-competition deals.
