Everyone's concept of God is quite personal. My own belief is that there have been a series of very wise men--prophets--who have visited the earth and tried to teach people how to live in positive ways. Their teachings are all quite similar, really, and the major religions come from the wisdom of these men.

But my specific point with the post I wrote is that while people may imagine God in their own image, if you believe in a historical Jesus, then he was from a particular tribe that lived around Jerusalem at that time. So while everyone may envision God as they choose, Jesus had specific skin, hair and eye colorations typical of that tribe, and all of them would have been dark brown. So it seems disingenuous to portray him as a white man with blue eyes and blonde or light-brown hair.
