TD,

I'd be less concerned if they toss scopus product and just build off of sebl architecture, probably would create a better support picture longer term.

I believe that this is exactly what SEBL will do. The first phase of integration will be relatively superficial -- integrated workflow with some data interchange between the two products, but still two separate product sets with two data models, two development tool sets, etc. The last phase will be a complete conversion to a single SEBL product set. I can say with confidence that SEBL hasn't worked out a complete migration plan. They don't even know when the second phase of S'98 will be delivered, or what it will include.

I am also very skeptical of the ERP guys making a successful transition to front office without a purchase.

Nine months ago, I would have disagreed with this. I thought SAP, Oracle and others would have made visible inroads in this space by now. Their presence today seems as non-existent as it was a year ago. Where will they be in a year? I guess they could make a purchase, but then they have the same pesky integration issues to deal with.
