Good, good morning, Nancy. I see that here too the same old argument rages without end, from east to west on SI this argument between the same people seems to rage, dragging in the same lurkers, probabaly that follow this endless argument. I hope we all know what we're doing.
I think what I see in what you say is the possibility as I see sometimes that you do believe God in Heaven and Jesus Christ His Son will now be brokering His/Their relationship with the huge broader world of Christians around the world through the inhabitants of Isreal, and them Jewish/.
Sometimes it is a verbal illusion. It seems that is what is being said, but I find that totally without a bit of reason or logic. If that has always been in scripture, then I must say come to think of it is rather a shock. What will the Lord do with the rest of us? Address us on CNN? Send word by Christian newsletters. I don't think I understand, actually, now that we try to pin it down. Or, after establishing contact with the Jews in Isreal, He will then come personally to America to assure us He still loves us, what? I mean, the truth is, this is the only point of Christian evangelism for 200 years. We have taken the message of Jesus to the world FROM AMERICA. Am I wrong? I have actually felt that from what I've read now for what seems like 300 earth years almost.
I think when I try to visualize the scriptures, it brings up absurdities I don't understand.
If you do mean that, can you explain what in the world could be the point? I mean the point that the legacy of Jesus Christ and those who follow him would be negotiated through those who do not. Does this make sense. If it does, how? But it looks like that is what you're saying and I can see why Emile would not be particularly comfortable with such a thought. Or do you mean that God and Jesus will deal primarily through SAVED Jews inside Isreal proper, so that all He does stays within the Jewish commuinity. That too, seems a little off to me, and I wonder if we really have it right.
The only problem I have with that is I can't possibly imagine being bypassed to that extent. IT just seems unreal, doesn't it?
If these ideas could be explained, then I wouldn't be so confused by the illogic in trying to visualize this scenario. OR, are we talking about the very end of the earth and the New Jerusalen has settled down. Again, there most certainly would NOT be an exclusion of other believers while Jesus sits down in parley with Jewish people only.
I think I can see how Emile has a problem with this, can't you.
I am just trying to figure out what we're all talking about here as it will obviously never come to an end until God ends it by coming back to Earth in person.
