Hello Tomato: I agree., it is somewhat difficult ascertaining the width of the NW Dyke without knowing the relationship of the furtherest N.E. hole of the earlier drill program. So lets backtrack and try to put some sense into what we know at this time. Originally the NW Dyke system was 800m x 600m. I seem to recall that it was extended by one of the first drill holes., so were looking at 1000x x 600m. Later as well a step out hole 400meters east of the most easterly hole extended the possible width of the area of interest to 1000x 1000m. Remember though that it was one hole enlarging that dimension and is not proven over the whole 1000M running NW to SE. Now the latest press release states that the hole encountered kimberlite 1100 meters east of the most easterly hole. As well., I had to reread the press release. So if one assumes that the first initial N.E. Hole was on the edge of the initial 600m width., then it would seem the total width has been extended at least in the Northern area to around 1700 meters. If one assumes that the Furthest N.E. initial hole was at the opposite edge., then the width is 1100meters plus wherever the hole was spotted. So yes a drill map would be in order. If one assumes that there is continutity within the 1100meter by 1000meter area., it would infer around 6.875mil tons. If however the area was increased to 1700meters width and remained at 1000meters in lenght., more tonnage would be implied. So the worse case should infill drilling prove these dimensions., there is 6.875 mil tons on the minimum to 10.6mil tons at the maximum. This takes into account neither extentions to the N. or S. of the 1000meters. If the extention runs N., it would appear that is mostly land based as well as the S.. In reference to the specific mention of 2 types of breecia. As you will recall., the 11.8kg sample was a 4 hole drill intersection on the eastern side of snap lake., this was dyke kimberlite but it was noted in bedrock as well. So I agree., without a detailed drill map indicating all kimberlite drill hole locations., it is difficult to say whether the preponderance of drilling took place along the axis of 186 to the 4 hole dyke or along 186 to the Penninsula area. I have a suspicion both axis were drilled. The deep holes near the middle of the lake if kimberlite bearing may indicate a rather expansive area bounded by a triangulation of those 3 points. As far as ultimate value estimates., it will be contingent on the continuity of the deposit., gem quality and preponderance of large stones in the bulk sample. The diamond counts from known results compare favorably to the counts from the Misery pipe of Diamets. Until the bulk sample gives indications of the frequency of large stones any conclusions are speculation at this point. Winspear has led us to believe they have passed the gem quality hurdle in previous press releases., so the frequency of stones not passing thru the next screen sieve., 1mmx3mm should give an accurate estimate of potential. The colored stones should add a dimension not evident in Abers pipes. Sincerely George J. Tromp |
