jenna, it is easy to gauge retailers earnings because they all report monthly sales, and we can pretty much track their monthly sales to see how the qtr might look like. by the time they report, usually we already have 2 months sales reports in. the hard part is whether the good news already built in. as for WTSLA, it all depends when report comes out whether it is not as bad as expected or worse. safe approach is not to hold thru earnings.
