Bob, I sure didn't want to sound callous if you are indeed having bad problems. That can happen to good people who are living right, and if so, I am always upset to see it. I hope that's not happening.
Personally, I am so certain something very unpleasant is about to happen I have put money on the back burner. If something unpleasant is about to happen, we are no where near the millions and millions it will take to be without a care. And then I would not want to be that person without a care surrounded by 5,000,000,000 unhappy people who have cares. Bad odds. 5 1/2, actually.
That's all I was saying. That this seems to be a very strange time for planet earth, and seems to be on the brink once again of total social or enviromental cataclism. If you aren't feeling it, I am.
I saw a desperate documentary on Discovery today about the disappearing live things on earth. It is a run away train, and the speed of it is almost numbing to the mind. Three years ago there were 50 wild tigers in all of that little country next to India which escapes my mind right now. I want to say Punjab, but that's a city. Each tiger that gets killed makes the rest go up in value that much more to the insane Asians who want their body parts for this and that. I think that about everything in the wild is now countable in most places, except maybe the serrengetti plain in Africa. And I have seen very concerned people as the elephants are now countable.
It's just hard for me in the mood I'm in to care much more beyond pleasant surroundings and good food. That may soon be an absolute luxury, so enjoy it. THat's the way I'm feeling, and hope it wears off because we don't want me to be right, for sure.
Something is horribly wrong. The world is dying and no one notices or cares. This is insane. And what if we do find the air is hissing out of the huge and growing holes in the ozone? We have just cut down the last of the forests that manufactured all the air.
Perhaps the Lord would have us put our stock research time into prayer. |
